Magda is a PostDoc in the Aceto lab. She obtained her PhD from the University of Cambridge, where she studied pancreas development and morphogenesis with lineage tracing techniques in the laboratories of prof. Anna Philpott and prof. Ben Simons (see Sznurkowska et al. 2018 Dev. Cell, Azzarelli et al. 2017 Dev. Cell, Rulands et al. 2018 Nature Physics). Throughout her PhD and during a short Post-Doc in prof. Cédric Blanpain’s lab (see Revenco et al. Cell Reports 2019), she developed a strong interest in understanding cancer progression. She joined our lab to use the CTC capturing and analysis technologies to understand the different aspects of the metastatic cascade.
