Marko Vujanovic

Marko is a technician in the Aceto Lab. Prior to joining the group, he has spent few years at Lonza (Visp, Wallis, Switzerland) working at the Quality Control (QC).

He comes originally from Belgrade, Serbia. There he graduated from the Molecular Biology and Physiology Faculty (University of Belgrade).

The PhD and subsequent PostDoc he has completed at the Institute of Molecular Cancer Research (IMCR) at the University of Zurich (Prof. Dr. Massimo Lopes group). The focus of the research was understanding the mechanistic basis of the DNA replication stress and its effect on the genome instability (Vujanovic et al., Mol Cell 2017).

Afterwards he has worked as a lab manager and a technician at two departments of the University of Zurich - Institute of Laboratory Animal Science (Dr. Jane Beil-Wagner, Prof. Dr. Thorsten Buch) and the Institute of Anatomy (Prof. MD Soeren Lienkamp).
