Manuel Nüesch
Manuel is a PhD student in the Aceto lab. Before joining our lab, he worked at the Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical school, USA as a research associate to investigate engineered T-cells named CAR T-cells for the treatment of neuroblastoma.
He also studied for a short time the role of immature myeloid cells in breast cancer at the Institute of Oncology Research in Bellinzona, Switzerland.
Manuel received his M.Sc degree in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the Paris-Saclay University, France. During his studies, he first focused on immunotherapy for solid tumors joining as a research trainee the Ludwig Maximilian University in Germany. Afterwards, he completed his master thesis under the supervision of prof. Roberto Chiarle at the Boston Children’s Hospital with a focus on the development of CAR T cells targeting Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase, ALK for the treatment of neuroblastoma.
